They rushed her to a veterinary hospital for emergency care, naming her Xiao Fu — a symbol of good fortune. But instead of help, they faced disappointment: doctors at the first hospital doubted the chances of survival. Two more clinics turned them away.

Still, the volunteers wouldn’t give up. They believed in Xiao Fu’s will to live and pressed on, eventually finding a hospital willing to try. Initial scans were grim.

The tumor had caused serious bone damage, and further tests revealed it had spread across her head, affecting nerves and critical tissue. Surgery wasn’t possible.

Yet hope came in the form of a diagnosis: vascular fibroma — a type of cancer that could be managed with medication. Xiao Fu began treatment, including a blood transfusion and consistent care.
Despite the challenges, she gained weight, showed signs of comfort, and never stopped wagging her tail.

Now, two months later, her future is still uncertain. But Xiao Fu isn’t just surviving — she’s living each day embraced by warmth, care, and the love of people who saw past her illness and into her heart.
