Puppies often find themselves in unexpected predicaments, typically because they consume items they shouldn’t, like snow salt or bits of carpet. Sometimes, their adventures also result in falls from tables or rough play with larger dogs.
Rebel, an eight-month-old German Shepherd from Riverside County in California, recently encountered a unique mishap. Most of his Monday afternoon was spent with his head stuck in a brick wall.

Upon arrival, officers were greeted by a slightly injured and confused puppy. A statement detailed how they assessed the situation and measured the gap between the wall and Rebel’s head.
Fortunately, there was just enough space to execute a rescue without dismantling the wall and risking further injury to Rebel.
One officer focused on freeing Rebel’s head from one side of the wall, while the other concentrated on guiding his body from the opposite side.

According to the report, Officer Palafox took special care to hold Rebel’s ears back during the operation to prevent any harm.
With a few gentle nudges and after about 30 minutes of careful effort, Rebel was finally released, as confirmed in the statement.
