Seeing the abandoned puppy alone and distressed on that chilly, rainy day was heartbreaking. She was shivering, clearly scared and feeling left alone, her small body showing signs of exhaustion and malnutrition.
The puppy was suffering from diarrhea and worms, and without her mother’s comforting presence, she seemed to struggle between life and death, her youthful spirit dimmed by her hardships.
As we hurried her to the veterinarian, the puppy stayed close to me, her sorrowful eyes seeming to ask for help. Despite this, I couldn’t shake off the feeling of guilt, as though I were somehow responsible for her tragic situation.
Although we did our best to soothe her, the memory of her past seemed to continue haunting her.
In hopes of turning her life around, we decided to name her Jade—a name that signifies toughness and renewal. With proper medication, we watched eagerly as Jade fought for her survival.
Her condition was critical, with her blood count sinking to dangerous levels, yet her determination to live never faded.
Day by day, Jade began to beat the odds. Her once frail and weak state gave way to newfound strength and energy. The blood transfusions she received were pivotal, marking her journey away from the edge of danger.
As she transitioned to taking medicine orally, Jade embraced her revitalization, delighting us with her playful behavior.
Jade’s incredible recovery highlighted the triumph of hope and grit. Rising from her lowest point, she emerged like a phoenix, her spirit untouched by adversity.
Now, as she gets ready for adoption, we are looking for a caring person to join her on the next stage of her life—a path filled with love, happiness, and infinite possibilities.
