Many lay lifeless or on the verge of collapse, confined within filthy cages and suffering from starvation and dehydration.
The heartbreaking discovery led to the identification of the source of this neglect—a pet breeding farm. The farm’s owner, who is currently absent, left the animals to fend for themselves after deeming them no longer profitable.
Authorities have now begun an investigation into this case of animal cruelty.
Due to the immediate threat to their survival, the dogs were quickly taken to a veterinary clinic. Five dogs were rescued, all in fragile states, struggling to stay upright owing to their emaciation.
Among them was a particularly frail dog suffering from infections so severe that surgical intervention, including a rectal amputation, would be necessary.
