His vision was hindered by cherry eyes, and he struggled to move his back legs.
“When I first saw Potchie, I couldn’t stop crying. Reflecting on the state he was rescued from, it was heartbreaking,” said his rescuer, recalling the early days of Potchie’s recovery journey.
With dedication, they provided Potchie with therapeutic baths, massages, and workout sessions.
The little dog currently receives bone and joint supplements alongside consistent therapy and massages. The team is focusing on rebuilding Potchie’s strength and stability before scheduling surgery to correct his cherry eyes and neutering.
Progress has been remarkable. Potchie is gaining mobility, and the swelling around his eyes has reduced significantly.
His skin, now a healthier pink, shows just a few sand-like specks, and despite his fur loss, the change in his condition is evident in recent photos.
In an uplifting development, Potchie has been fitted with an adjustable wheelchair to aid his mobility. As his therapy continues, including swimming exercises, there is hope that Potchie might one day regain the ability to walk on all four legs.
His ability to move swiftly has noticeably improved.
