Meet Winston, a young four-month-old podenco who, despite a rough start, is on the path to recovery. Once used by a hunter but later abandoned, Winston faced a severe injury with a broken jaw on both sides.
Nevertheless, his future looks promising as he undergoes surgery to repair the damage.
Winston’s painful journey began when he was left for dead, seen as nothing more than a discarded tool after he was no longer useful.

However, thanks to caring individuals, he’s been given a second chance at life. With much-needed surgery, Winston is expected to heal and enjoy a fulfilled life ahead.
Despite his severe condition, urgency was paramount, and Winston couldn’t wait any longer for the operation.
Even with necrotic tissue in his mouth posing a potential risk, the surgery proceeded. Everyone involved hoped for a smooth and successful procedure.

The good news is Winston came through the surgery in good health. Post-surgery exams confirmed that no complications arose, and he was even seen joyfully wandering around the hospital, free of any infections.
This promising progress is heartening to everyone rallying for his recovery.
Adapting well to his temporary stay at the clinic, Winston is making notable strides in his rehabilitation.

His recovery continues to be commendable, and there’s hope he’ll soon transition to life at the Great House, where he can enjoy a more homely environment.
Now, Winston has moved into the Big House and is embracing his freedom to run and play for the first time like any other dog his age. Observing Winston delight in his newfound surroundings is truly a joy to witness.
The future is bright for Winston, and this marks the beginning of many more adventures. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who played a part in making his recovery possible.
