In South Asia, animal rescuers responded to a report about a persistent barking noise coming from an old house that appeared to be deserted. Concerned neighbors had heard the barking for several days and decided to alert the rescue team.
Upon arriving at the location, the rescuers found the property abandoned and without electricity, suggesting it might have been empty for a long time. Initially, they had no indication of any animal presence until they heard the barking themselves. Following the sound, they ventured into the basement, where they discovered a small dog in distress.

The poor canine was trapped, her movement restricted by a rope tight enough to have become embedded in her skin, causing painful, open sores around her neck. The rescue team acted quickly, carefully freeing the dog and removing the rope to relieve her from her dire situation.
The rescuers then took her to a veterinarian, who treated her injuries and recommended a healthy diet. Fortunately, apart from her neck wounds, the dog was found to be in good health and was expected to recover fully.

The identity of whoever abandoned the dog in such a state remains unknown. Nevertheless, the most important outcome is that she is now safe and will have the opportunity to live a secure life, free from neglect and harm.
