When a distressed dog was brought to the “In Good Hands” clinic on Novy Cheryomushki Street, the staff quickly sprang into action. The warm and welcoming atmosphere provided a comforting environment for the animal.
Despite enduring significant pain, the dog showed remarkable spirit by eagerly consuming its food, a testament to its hunger and determination to survive.
The diagnosis, however, was daunting. The animal suffered from a spine fracture and severe spondylolisthesis, conditions that prevented it from walking. Complicating matters further, the dog weighed 50 kilograms. In the same clinic, another elderly dog battled kidney failure and multiple tumors, its body visibly worn from years of hardship.
We tended to their needs with gentle care, aware of their pain and physical limitations. We named the dog Eric, and he found comfort in his cozy room, savoring the sunshine that brought back memories of happier times.
Eric’s recovery journey has been long and challenging. It involves numerous injections and careful monitoring. Slow yet steady progress offers a ray of hope, as his hind legs show signs of improvement, promising a brighter outlook despite the severity of his condition.
While the future remains uncertain for Eric, there is solace in knowing he has been rescued from despair and given a chance at a pain-free life. As his recovery continues, we remain hopeful for better days, filled with healing and renewal.
