Brad Pitt has reportedly invested approximately $10 million in legal fees as he seeks justice in a dispute over their French estate, shared with a Russian billionaire.
The property, acquired by the couple in 2011, was the location of their 2014 wedding. Pitt initially owned 60% of the estate, with Jolie holding 40%.
Following their divorce in 2021, Jolie voluntarily sold her shares to the Russian billionaire for $64 million. However, Pitt contested this transaction, filing lawsuits in Luxembourg, California, and France, alleging that Jolie had sold the shares without his consent. Initially, Pitt secured victories in all three legal battles.
Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, reports suggest that the divorce between Pitt and Jolie is nearing completion. While the couple announced their separation in 2016, formalizing the divorce has been a protracted process. Presently, Jolie is caring for and raising their six children.
