Brad Pitt recently had an awkward encounter with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie’s family at an art gallery event in Beverly Hills.
The actor attended the Gagosian Gallery opening for an exhibition by Bennett Miller, his “Moneyball” director, where he ran into Jolie’s father, Jon Voight, and brother, James Haven.

An eyewitness at the event told The US Sun that many noticed the uncomfortable situation, as the gallery was not large. “James was amicable and acknowledged Brad, but I didn’t see them talking,” the source reported. “They were mostly standing apart, chatting with friends.”
Those present whispered about the run-in, suggesting Pitt might not have known his former in-laws would attend. The 60-year-old actor was with his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon. Both were reportedly polite and acknowledged Voight, 85, and Haven, 50.

Pitt was dressed stylishly in a brown leather jacket with a fuzzy collar, a polo shirt, denim jeans, and suede boots. De Ramon, 31, wore a white tank top under a beige cardigan, black leather pants, and matching boots.
Britney Spears’s ex-husband, Sam Asghari, also attended the intimate affair and posted a photo with Pitt. The eyewitness mentioned that Asghari “asked for a selfie with Brad, mentioning how much Britney loved him” before chatting with James and Jon.
Pitt and de Ramon, previously married to “Vampire Diaries” star Paul Wesley, were first romantically linked in November 2022 and made their red carpet debut a year later. “This is Brad’s first proper relationship since the divorce.

He introduces [de Ramon] as his girlfriend,” a source told People in November 2023. “It’s great to see him in a good place,” the insider added, noting that de Ramon makes Pitt “very happy.”
Jolie, 48, filed for divorce from Pitt in September 2016. Despite being legally single since March 2019, their custody battle continues. The ex-couple shares six children: Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 17, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 15.
Pitt seems estranged from his children, with Zahara dropping his last name at her college sorority induction in November 2023 and Pax reportedly calling him a “world-class a–hole” in 2020.

Pitt has not been publicly seen with his kids since the split, which followed an alleged physical altercation on a private plane.
Although Pitt denied the abuse, he admitted to seeking help for his drinking problem. Voight expressed hope for Pitt’s recovery, saying, “I pray for the guy. The kids are coping as best they can.”
Haven recently shared on the “90who10” podcast that he rearranged his life to support his sister and her children. “I want to be there for them or her, whatever she’s going through,” he said.
