When Julie Docherty moved to Los Angeles, she wasn’t ready to own a pet. Instead, she volunteered at a local shelter, still acclimating to her new environment. Little did she know her first visit would change her life.

She met MoMo, an 11-year-old Chihuahua, and instantly knew he belonged with her. Despite his age and toothless grin, Julie welcomed him into her home.

As Julie spent more time at the shelter, she discovered a heartbreaking reality – many elderly pets struggled to find homes.

Determined to make a difference, she opened her heart and home to three more Chihuahuas: Benito, Choli, and Paloma. Despite their lack of teeth, these four furry friends quickly formed an inseparable bond.

Together, they created their version of a senior dog club, enjoying every moment of their golden years.
