Scarlett Johansson, the renowned actress, expresses her discomfort with being dubbed “the Sєxiest woman alive.” Despite frequently topping polls for her beauty, Johansson prefers anonymity over such titles.
In an interview with Grazia Italia, the 39-year-old star voiced her perspective: “There are so many wonderful women out there, and they aren’t even actresses! I don’t like being labeled as ‘the Sєxiest woman alive.’ As an actress, I prefer to maintain anonymity.”
Having previously been married to Ryan Reynolds and linked romantically to actors like Sean Penn, Johansson values privacy regarding her personal life.
She remarked, “I don’t talk about my private relationships anymore. I often read many things and don’t even recognize myself in what was written.”
Beyond her personal life, Johansson hopes to be recognized for more than just her appearance as she ages. She expressed, “I never wanted to be a Sєx symbol.
I wanted to be a character actor. Those are the actors I often admire most. But I think curvy women can be pigeonholed in that bombshell thing.”
Embracing her evolving career, Johansson finds solace in the shift away from being typecast as an ingénue, stating, “As I get older, I think I’m seeing more multifaceted roles. I’m past the ingénue phase, which I’m very thankful for, but I’m happy it’s over.”
