Angelina Jolie is prioritizing her mental health and well-being by deciding to leave the United States following her high-profile divorce from Brad Pitt.
Despite their glamorous public personas, celebrities experience heartache and stress like anyone else. Angelina Jolie, known for her beauty and talent, has recently made headlines for her decision to leave the U.S. to focus on her health.

The 48-year-old actress has been candid about the toll her divorce from Brad Pitt has taken on her.
Reflecting on her career, Jolie revealed to the Wall Street Journal Magazine that she wouldn’t choose to be an actress if she were starting out today. She might consider theater but not Hollywood.
She said, “I wouldn’t be an actress today. When I was starting, it wasn’t as much of an expectation to be as public, to share so much.”

Jolie’s relationship with Pitt began in 2005 while filming “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.” At the time, she was a single mother, and Pitt married Jennifer Aniston.
Jolie and Pitt legally married on August 14, 2014, but filed for divorce just two years later on September 15, 2016, citing irreconcilable differences. They were officially declared single on April 12, 2019.
Years of intense public scrutiny have taken a toll on Jolie. She noted that the stress affected her health significantly. “My body reacts very strongly to stress. My blood sugar goes up and down. I suddenly had Bell’s palsy six months before my divorce,” she shared.

Jolie’s lack of a social life in Los Angeles is partly due to the constant attention she receives. Despite the media frenzy, she doesn’t read the stories written about her, stating, “I’ve just been around so long and there’s been everything said.”
In a September interview with Vogue, Jolie mentioned that she started taking on fewer film projects requiring long shoots about seven years ago.
“We had a lot of healing to do. We’re still finding our footing,” she explained, referring to the period following her split from Pitt after an alleged physical altercation on a plane.

Jolie’s acting career slowed down significantly after her roles in “Maleficent” and “By the Sea.” She also filed a countersuit in 2016, alleging that Pitt had physically and verbally abused her and their children during a plane incident.
On the professional front, Jolie remains one of the most acclaimed actresses in the industry, with over thirty films to her credit since 1982. She has also directed several films, including “In the Land of Blood and Honey,” “Unbroken,” “By the Sea,” and “First They Killed My Father.”
