A recent incident at Bangkok Airport highlighted the dangers of such trafficking methods. Customs officials became suspicious when a woman’s bag appeared unusually heavy.

Upon questioning, she claimed the bag contained only clothes and stuffed animals. However, when the bag was opened, the officials were shocked to discover a live tiger cub inside.

The cub was found to be drugged, presumably to keep it subdued during transit. Fortunately, medical staff confirmed that the cub was alive but needed immediate care.

The woman was arrested at the scene, and the cub was taken to a local zoo for treatment and safe custody.

This case underscores the disturbing lengths to which individuals will go for profit, putting endangered animals at great risk.

Thanks to the vigilance of customs officials in Bangkok, this tiger cub was rescued, and the trafficker was apprehended.
