As temperatures soar, staying cool can be a challenge. However, baby elephants Bala and Hari at Chester Zoo have mastered the art of cooling off in style.
The two-year-old elephants were spotted enjoying a refreshing splash in the water during one of the hottest Julys on record.

With the temperature reaching 24°C (75°F), the playful duo made the most of their water spray and bath, slipping and sliding as they frolicked together.
In one charming moment, Bala tumbled onto his side while playfully running his head under a waterfall before diving into the water and hitting the ground.

Will Condliffe, a zoo staff member, remarked, “We’ve developed a wonderful relationship with the elephants here over time.”
