When we first arrived to help, the dog didn’t immediately trust us. Despite her obvious distress, she was ignored by those passing by, even as she lifted her head and pleaded with tearful eyes.
This poor canine was in a dire state, her belly so swollen that it appeared as if it might burst. She lay helpless on the ground, unable to move, clearly overwhelmed with fear and panic.
Our goal was to earn her trust and assure her that she was finally going to receive the care she desperately needed. Transporting her back to our station was no small feat. It required the strength of three people to support her distended belly.
Once at the station, we started treating her condition, alleviating her pain. Her appetite soon returned, and she began eating heartily, showing signs of recovery.
This experience serves as a reminder of the importance of treating animals with kindness and respect. Let’s always remember to view them as friends and extend a helping hand whenever we can.
