A baby elephant’s adorable antics halted traffic at a popular tourist destination as the young animal played and rolled in the sand.
Visitors were charmed by the playful pachyderm and were more than happy to pause and watch the amusing scene unfold.
Tourist Brett Berenson was among those who witnessed the heartwarming moment while traveling through Zimbabwe in July.
As his jeep suddenly stopped, he looked to his driver and saw the cause of the delay—a baby elephant joyfully rolling around in the sand, completely unfazed by the growing audience.
The young elephant continued its playful display, lifting its trunk and eventually standing up to regard the vehicle before wandering off.
Berenson felt incredibly fortunate to have experienced such a rare and delightful encounter. “It was a lovely sight to see. I couldn’t believe how lucky we were,” he said.
Berenson quickly captured the moment on camera and shared it on social media, where the baby elephant’s undeniable charm captivated countless viewers and prompted widespread sharing of the video.
