Angelina Jolie was seen sharing the spotlight with singer Alicia Keys at the after-party for the Broadway musical adaptation of The Outsiders on Thursday. The event, held at Cipriani 42nd Street, also saw Jolie’s 15-year-old daughter, Vivienne Jolie–Pitt, in attendance.
During the event, Jolie spoke to Extra about her daughter’s involvement, revealing that Vivienne spent more time working with Justin Levine, the musical’s book and score writer, than with her.

“Viv ended up more with Justin than with me, so as you can tell by choice of attire, which team she’s on… She’s on the music, writer, and greaser team,” Jolie said.
Jolie also praised the cast of The Outsiders, calling them an “extremely talented, brilliant, kind group of people.” She admired, noting, “It’s not just that they’re good people, but they are, which is rare to have.

They’re so hardworking and talented that I can’t wait for everybody to see them, so please come.” In addition to her support, Jolie contributed to the production by designing some of the costumes, including the one worn by Levine. She remarked, “I had fun doing it.”
Jolie highlighted Vivienne’s role as a dedicated assistant, acknowledging her as the biggest theatre enthusiast in the family. “Viv. Definitely Viv,” she emphasized, with Levine agreeing, “Definitely Viv.” Jolie attended the premiere with both Vivienne and her 20-year-old son, Pax Jolie–Pitt.
