A few years ago, during a heatwave, the black bear family quietly entered a Texas backyard and turned the pool into their refreshing oasis.
An amused observer commented, “There’s no point having that fence. Next time you’ll catch them in your beds while tasting your porridge.”
While it’s unlikely that a mother bear would bring her cubs into a human bed, securing your breakfast before heading out for a morning walk is probably wise.
