Feeding a single baby is a challenging task in its own right, let alone catering to the hunger pangs of nine frisky panda cubs.
An amusing video recently surfaced, showcasing nine spirited panda cubs jostling for their milk bottles at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in Sichuan province, southwest China.
Watch the video at the end.
These bottles were filled with a special milk formula prepared by their dedicated caretakers, known as panda nannies.
The video captures the adorable spectacle of these furry creatures lounging on their backs in their enclosure, clutching their precious bottles.
Amidst this cute chaos, the nannies are seen scurrying around to ensure each panda cub retains its own milk bottle. Yet, some crafty cubs have different schemes, reaching out to snatch their neighbors’ bottles.
Despite their best efforts, the nannies engage in an ongoing game of panda shuffle. They pick up the cubs, attempting to return them to their respective spots.
However, these furry bundles of energy refuse to stay still. One persistent panda, in particular, is highlighted for his relentless pursuit of a milk bottle from his neighboring companion.
Eventually, peace is restored in the enclosure as the pandas yield to their milk bottles, settling on the grass to enjoy their drink.
Being a panda nanny is an arduous job involving feeding the pandas, cleaning hundreds of pounds of panda droppings, and hauling an equal amount of bamboo daily.
Chengdu’s Research Base is renowned for housing a considerable population of 113 Giant Pandas and 76 Red Pandas.
The establishment boasts the world’s largest artificially bred population of captive Giant Pandas, attracting around 15,000 visitors daily during the peak season.
