Brad Pitt’s team has issued a response to Angelina Jolie’s allegations concerning the use of a confidentiality agreement to manipulate her and conceal violent incidents.
According to reports from Page Six, Pitt’s lawyer filed documents with the Los Angeles Superior Court on April 5, countering Jolie’s claims.

Earlier, Jolie had asserted that Pitt coerced her into signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) in an attempt to control her post-breakup, concealing his history of abuse towards her and their children.
Pitt vehemently refuted these allegations, asserting that Jolie’s refusal to sign the NDA was merely a pretext to justify her withdrawal from negotiations regarding the sale of shares in the Château Miraval winery, portraying it as an act of betrayal towards her ex-husband.

His legal team contended that Pitt and Jolie had agreed not to transfer shares of the estate to a third party without mutual consent. However, in 2021, Jolie sold her 50% stake to tycoon Yuri Shefler for $60 million without prior discussion with Pitt.
In addition to requesting a confidentiality agreement during divorce proceedings, Pitt claimed that Jolie had signed numerous other NDAs with employees and household staff to prevent any information from being leaked.
John Berlinski, Pitt’s lawyer, commented on the matter, suggesting that if Jolie required her staff to sign NDAs to maintain privacy about her home and her interactions with Pitt and the children, it could undermine her argument that Pitt’s proposed confidentiality terms were ‘unconscionable.’

Regarding Jolie’s accusation on April 4, alleging mistreatment of their children before the 2016 separation, Pitt’s lawyer emphasized that this issue was not relevant to the ongoing dispute, aiming to redirect focus solely on clarifying Jolie’s actions in the Château Miraval estate sale.
As of now, Jolie has not responded further to Pitt’s statements. Recent developments have seen Pitt filing lawsuits against Jolie in Luxembourg, California, and France regarding the Château Miraval estate, with initial victories in all three jurisdictions.
Despite incurring over $10 million in legal fees, Pitt remains steadfast in his belief that the expenditure is justified.
