Joyce, a pregnant stray cat, was taken in by Oregon Friends of Shelter Animals (OFOSA). Soon after, she gave birth to a litter of kittens.
Sadly, only one survived—a tiny kitten named Erica. From that moment on, Joyce never left her side.
Their connection was immediate and unbreakable. Joyce doted on Erica, always close by to comfort, clean, and protect her.
The kitten, in turn, clung to her mother, copying her every move and drawing confidence from her presence.
Angela, a foster volunteer, welcomed them into her home, and the bond between Joyce and Erica only deepened.
Wherever Joyce went, Erica followed. They ate together, rested together, and explored side by side.
Now healthy, playful, and full of love, this mother-daughter duo is ready for adoption—but only as a pair.
After all they’ve been through, they deserve a future together, in a home where their beautiful connection can continue to grow.
