To her amazement, the elephants began swaying their trunks and moving rhythmically to the music. “I found out that elephants REALLY like Bach,” Bartsch noted in the description of her YouTube video documenting the moment.

The video captured Kelly and Viola raising their tusks and gently bobbing to the sounds of Bach, as Bartsch practiced for her performance of the Bach Concerto for Two Violins with the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra at the Circus World Museum in Baraboo, Wisconsin.

This isn’t the first time elephants have shown a music appreciation. Last year, Paul Barton shared a video of himself playing piano alongside a Thai elephant named Peter, who joined in by tapping his trunk on the keys.

Another video featured a group of elephants performing tricks and tail flips to the tune of “Gangnam Style,” displaying their playful nature.

These moments highlight the remarkable ways elephants connect with music, offering a unique glimpse into their intelligence and personality.
