This is a rare and seemingly undocumented moment of a six-month-old elephant laughing hysterically during a game with her park keeper.
From Aberdeenshire, UK, Laura captured the uplifting moment at Maevang Elephant Camp, Chiang Mai, Thailand, during her two-month holiday celebrating her graduation from university.
The baby elephant, who was being entertained with a plastic bucket by one of her closest caretakers, witnessed the time of her life while enthralled guests watch and marvel.
Laura, a geology student, was moved by the elephant’s innocent and playful nature during a fun day of feeding, caring for, and petting the 14,000-pound animals at the elephant clinic.
The graduated student said: “I feel delighted to see the elephant having such a good time.
“We watched the baby play, relax, and carefree all day.
“She seemed to be a pretty cheeky little girl and even tried to eat my top at one point.”
The excited elephant’s mother can be seen keeping a close eye on her cub while she is also being looked after by a park keeper.
Laura said: “In the afternoon, we had to ride the older elephants to go through the jungle.
“Baby goes for a walk to have fun.”
After first being posted online in 2014, Laura recently re-shared this post to the delight of her Facebook friends.
