Safari tour guide Brendan Cole captured the lovely moment in front of the Mala Mala Game Reserve camera in South Africa.
A lovely baby elephant is taking the first steps, and it will make your heart melt. With the encouragement of the older brothers and sisters in the herd, this calf has shown real determination to put on his feet.
After half an hour of struggling, the calf was finally able to maintain balance on his feet. The cubs will pause everyone’s walking and give the young a chance to rest.
Mala Mala Game Reserve features a 12-mile fence-free border with the world-famous Kruger National Park. It is located between the National Park and the Sabi Sand Reserve.
As their website states, “For almost nine decades, the custodians of this land have gathered to preserve and protect this particular piece of Africa.”
It allows the animals to roam as they please in their natural habitat, while visitors can observe them and take pictures from afar.
