Touching footage shows a mother elephant helping her baby jump over a concrete fence in India to join her family.
At the beginning of the clip, a mother elephant is seen crossing the road and climbing over a barricade in Gudalur, Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu.
A second elephant also overcomes hurdles but the smallest struggles.
The mother climbs onto the railing and lowers her trunk to the calf’s rump to pull it up.
According to local reports, traffic was stopped to let the elephants cross the road safely.
A local resident said that people who saw the mother help the baby elephant praised the care she took for the baby.
