Bringing a dog into our home means committing to love and care for them unconditionally. Their wagging tails and joyful eyes bring us immense happiness. It’s heartbreaking to think about the many dogs who endure years of neglect and mistreatment, suffering without the affection they deserve.
Kicho, a gentle dog, knows this painful reality all too well. Having been betrayed by those she believed to be her family, she was left in chains and abandoned when she fell ill. Despite their harsh treatment, she waited hopefully in a field, expecting her family to return.

Fortunately, a compassionate farmer discovered Kicho in her dire state and reached out to a rescue organization. When rescuers arrived and found Kicho with her head down in despair, their hearts broke. Her condition was alarming, with patches of missing fur and scratches all over her body, indicating prolonged neglect.
Understanding her need for help, the rescuers approached cautiously. At first, their touch frightened Kicho, causing her to retreat. However, the dedicated rescuers persisted and eventually brought her to a veterinary clinic.
There, the vet diagnosed Kicho with chronic mange and scabies, prescribing necessary antibiotics to alleviate her persistent itching. Alongside her skin issues, Kicho also had wounds from the chains and a sprained leg, all of which pointed to severe mistreatment.
Despite her reservations, Kicho soon began eating the food offered by the clinic staff, revealing just how hungry and underweight she was. Slowly, the staff’s patience and kindness began to win her trust, and they affectionately named her Kicho.
With proper care, Kicho’s condition improved. Her skin healed, and she regained strength, managing to stand on her paws once more. As she recovered, her caregivers noticed her starting to trust them more.
Even when Kicho was hesitant about stepping outside, her caregivers had a clever plan. They encouraged her with food, helping her overcome her fears and explore her surroundings. Her once-itchy skin began to heal with the medication, further aiding her recovery.
Over time, Kicho’s transformation was astounding. Her fur grew back, and she blossomed into a beautiful and joyful dog. When a rescuer came to take her to her new safe home, Kicho’s happiness was evident, her face beaming with smiles.
Now settled in a foster-based rescue, Kicho is cared for by one of her initial rescuers. Here, she receives all the love and cuddles she was previously denied, ensuring her days are filled with warmth and affection.
The dedication and selflessness of the rescuers and caregivers have truly transformed Kicho’s life, giving her a future filled with hope and happiness.
