When the former homeowner showed up, he barely acknowledged the dog as he placed Pamela into Guido’s car and returned inside to gather his belongings.

Initially, Pamela was frightened by the sudden upheaval in her life. She seemed tense and defensive in her crate, signaling deep emotional distress.

Guido commented on the situation, noting that while Pamela had no visible injuries, her emotional scars were significant and typically the most challenging to heal.

Pamela required immediate medical attention as she had developed sores from years of living outdoors in unclean conditions.

Guido described how the dog’s demeanor transformed: “This morning on our walk, she stayed right by my side, frequently stopping to check on me and offering hugs.

When I crouched down, she kissed my face, as though to say, ‘I’m okay now.’ These are the moments you live for.”

Despite Pamela’s rapid progress, Guido emphasized the importance of taking things slowly to ensure Pamela feels completely at ease before introducing more changes.

“We’ll ensure she’s healthy and spend time getting to know her before finding her a new family,” Guido shared with The Doglovers. There’s hope that Pamela will soon be ready to embrace a new, loving home.
