A small Pomeranian dog, once a beloved pet, found itself struggling to survive on the unforgiving streets. It was weak from hunger and remained cautious around people, unsure whether to trust them or run away.
In its quest for food, the dog scoured the side of the road, but to no avail. Feeling sympathetic to its plight, I decided to offer some assistance. I purchased some snacks and placed them nearby, hoping the dog would eat them.

However, instead of accepting the food, the dog hesitated, sniffed the offering, and backed away. I speculated it might prefer something different, so I tried dog food, but it still showed no interest.
Surprisingly, when I offered water, the little dog eagerly drank from the bottle cap. Clearly, it had been suffering from thirst for far too long.

Though it would not eat, the dog slowly began to place its trust in me. Tired and worn out, it settled down and fell asleep, as if peace had finally found it again.
The following day, I returned with hopes of seeing it again. As soon as it saw me, it wagged its tail excitedly, showing that it recognized me.

This time, it did not resist when I gently picked it up and placed it in a box to take it to the vet.
A thorough examination revealed the severity of the dog’s condition. Approximately three years old, it suffered from alopecia, swollen lymph nodes, inflammation, and a weakened digestive system.

Several large ticks were discovered on its frail body. Despite its ailments, the vet assured me that, with proper care, it could recover. Treatment commenced right away.
Days later, I visited the clinic with my own pet, and the once-timid dog greeted me with a joyful wag of its tail. It had already gained weight, with its ribs no longer visible.

Its vitality was returning, and it was becoming less hesitant about food. Witnessing such progress filled me with hope.
I decided to name the dog Lucky, aspiring for it to have a future filled with warmth and love. As Lucky continued to recover, its fur began to grow back, and its playful nature gradually surfaced.
When it was time to bring Lucky home, I realized it had truly found a place where it belonged. No longer alone or afraid, Lucky became a cherished family member, a living testament to the power of kindness and second chances.
