The volunteers employed sunflower oil and water in an effort to gently clean the puppy, but its health had already been compromised.
The puppy was badly dehydrated, experiencing toxic exposure, and suffering from fractures in its paws and tail. Motivated by a strong determination to save the animal, the rescuers pressed on despite these hurdles.
By the evening, the puppy showed faint signs of improvement, managing to eat and drink. However, complications soon arose.
Burns from the tar induced severe pain, and attempts by the puppy to lick its injured paws resulted in further ingestion of the harmful resin, triggering vomiting and diminished appetite.
Faced with this dire situation, the volunteers again reached out to the community for assistance. The response was swift, with numerous individuals arriving to help with supplies like hot water, shampoo, and soap to aid the cleaning process.
Over four days, their efforts gradually removed the resin, leading to a noticeable improvement in the puppy’s health. The narrative takes a hopeful turn as a kind-hearted local decided to adopt the puppy, moved by its resolve to survive.
With the love and care of this new owner, the puppy is now on the road to a full recovery, finally escaping the nightmare it had endured.
While the source of the hazardous material remains unidentified, this incident underscores the power of community spirit and compassion.
