Photographer Eric Cunha had the privilege of witnessing and capturing these tender moments at the Parc des Felins in Seine-et-Marne, France, where a rare Siberian tiger family resides.

Despite initially unimpressed expressions, the young tigers couldn’t escape their mother’s affectionate grooming, as she used her massive paws to keep them in place.

Each cub received a thorough cleaning, highlighting their strong bond and showcasing these magnificent creatures’ surprising tenderness.

A Paris-based photographer, Cunha spent several days observing and photographing the tigers in their expansive enclosures, utilizing powerful telephoto lenses to capture these captivating shots.

The images have garnered significant attention, with people amazed by the affectionate behavior displayed by these majestic cats toward their offspring.

Siberian tigers, also known as Amur tigers, are primarily found in the Sikhote Alin mountain region, with a small population in the southwest Primorye province of the Russian Far East.

Conservation efforts have helped stabilize their population over the past decade, although concerns remain regarding the declining Russian population.

Unlike Bengal tigers, Siberian tigers very rarely pose a threat to humans. Various cultures, such as the Tungusic and Manchu, revered the Siberian tiger as a deity, emphasizing its importance in folklore and tradition.
