“We Know How Hard It Was To Say Goodbye”

Upon Rhoudy’s arrival, staff at the shelter initially thought he was just another dog in need. However, they soon found a small piece of paper with a heartfelt message and a drawing, indicating his previous family’s deep love for him. The note read:

Despite attempts to contact Rhoudy’s family and learn more about his background, the shelter staff could not locate them. The only way to communicate was through social media, hoping the children would see it.

“We know how hard it was to say goodbye. But you were so brave and so strong. Sometimes hard decisions must be made, but he knows how much you love him,” the Greenville Humane Society posted on Facebook.

The Greenville Humane Society described Rhoudy as an energetic dog who enjoys being the center of attention and loves roughhousing with other dogs.

“I’m a rough and tumble kuy and love to play and roughhouse with other dogs… I’m looking for a family who will give me lots of love and attention and keep me active and engaged,” reads his profile on the shelter’s website.
