Molly and Haus were enjoying the afternoon in their garden when suddenly, an Eastern diamondback rattlesnake appeared.

Molly’s mother, Donya, recounted the incident, expressing her immense gratitude towards Haus. She recalled seeing the dog jump back and stand his ground, but initially, she did not spot the snake.
It wasn’t until she noticed Haus limping and saw the blood on his legs that she realized what had happened. Donya is thankful for Haus’s quick action, fearing what might have occurred if he hadn’t intervened.
Following the attack, Haus was taken to a veterinarian where he received necessary and costly anti-venom treatment. Thankfully, Haus is expected to make a full recovery.
To help with the unexpected medical expenses, the DeLuca family set up a GoFundMe account. The story of Haus’s heroism touched many hearts, leading to generous contributions that covered his veterinary bills.
Remarkably, Haus joined the DeLuca family just a few months earlier after being adopted from an animal shelter.
Adam DeLuca, Molly’s father, shared that from the moment Haus arrived, he showed deep devotion and protectiveness towards the children.
