In a gripping moment caught on camera, a goat and a rooster heroically stepped in to save a chicken from a hawk attack on a farm in Gelderland, the Netherlands.
Farm owner Jaap Beets, 59, was inside his farmhouse on September 5 when he heard distressing noises from his livestock outdoors.
He later discovered that a goshawk attacked his chicken, but thankfully, his other animals intervened to save the hen.

The captivating CCTV footage reveals the goshawk diving down on the brown hen, scattering feathers across the paddock.
As the chicken tries to escape the hawk’s grasp, a courageous rooster joins the fray, followed by Beets’ brown goat, Bruin, charging at the bird of prey like a battering ram.
Together, the goat and rooster drive the goshawk away from the vulnerable chicken, forcing it to flee. The hen escapes into its cabinet, and the other birds in the paddock follow suit.
This isn’t the first time Beets has felt pride in his animals’ protective instincts, as his turkey and goats have rescued his chickens on two prior occasions.
Beets, who lives with his wife Carina, expressed his gratitude for the goat and rooster’s heroic actions and his relief that the chicken survived.
He revealed that in his seven years living on the farm, this was the third attack on his chickens, with two from goshawks and one from a predator.
Fortunately, the chicken sustained only minor injuries and took a few days to recover, with the support of the other birds.
Beets, who has dedicated his life to environmental work and nature conservation, now strives to foster a natural environment at his farmhouse in Hall.
The amazing video of the rescue has garnered over 447,000 views on social media, with many praising the goat as a “hero” and comparing the incident to a “Disney adventure.”
