Soner Büyümez, while tending to his daily chores in an orchard, found himself part of an unfolding drama when he stumbled upon a dog in dire need. The unfolding events were nothing short of extraordinary.
Soner, accompanied by his colleague, was at his farm assessing the aftermath of a recent landslide. Their work was interrupted by the sound of a dog’s desperate howling.
Upon investigation, they discovered a dog partially buried, with only her head visible.
The dog, a new mother, had chosen a peaceful spot on a nearby slope for her litter. This makeshift shelter turned hazardous when a landslide buried her and her puppies.
Initially unaware of the puppies’ plight, Soner and his colleague managed to rescue the mother. Though relieved to see her safe, her continued distress indicated something more.
Their suspicions were confirmed when they heard faint cries from beneath the ground.
Acting swiftly, they realized the puppies were trapped beneath the rubble and without thinking, they began to dig with their bare hands, determined to reach the buried pups.
In a few intense moments of digging into the earth, they discovered the first of the puppies—covered in dirt but alive. This discovery spurred them to keep searching.
Over two hours of relentless effort, Soner and his colleague unearthed six more puppies. Out of the eight rescued, one unfortunately did not survive. Initially heart-wrenching, there was relief in reuniting the mother dog with her surviving puppies.
Thanks to the timely and empathetic actions of Soner and his friend, the dog family was saved. Soner chose to adopt them, offering the mother and her pups a secure and loving home on his farm.
Despite the loss of one puppy, the mother dog now had a safe environment to nurture her litter, all due to Soner’s compassion and quick thinking.
Known for his generosity, Soner is no stranger to aiding animals; his farm is already home to numerous rescued dogs whom he cares for with dedication.
