A hungry elephant was filmed rummaging for food through pick-up trucks, showcasing its playful yet determined nature.

The footage captures the elephant picking up various inedible items, including a plastic bottle, which it promptly spits out.

In its quest for a snack, the tusker tossed aside large containers before finally discovering uncooked rice, which it eagerly stuffed into its mouth.

Inside one of the vehicles, a man asked his fellow passengers whether they should drive away as the elephant approached. However, a woman urged everyone to stay put, hoping to avoid startling the animal.

As the elephant approached the back of their truck, the couple reminded their children to remain quiet, wary of a possible encounter. Thankfully, the elephant caused no harm, allowing everyone to drive away safely.

Drivers and passengers along the road in Khao Yai National Park, Thailand, were left stunned as they watched the elephant use its trunk to explore the vehicles.

On December 9, traffic came to a halt, with onlookers choosing to remain still to avoid disturbing the creature.

One man in a nearby vehicle expressed concern, saying, “I pray that they don’t attack the car… Once he gets food, he will leave.”
