Ava, a puppy just 45 days old, came into this world facing significant challenges. Born with injured hind legs and suffering from severe skin conditions caused by mange, her early life was marked by hardship and discomfort.
Fortunately, a call for help was answered without delay.
Once help arrived, Ava was thoroughly examined. The examination revealed several health concerns: her red blood cell count was critically low at 17%, and she was also battling issues with her liver and kidneys.

Additionally, she had a blood parasite that required urgent treatment.
Nine days into her recovery journey, Ava was under the diligent care of a veterinarian who was addressing her mange and the blood parasite.
Signs of improvement were beginning to show—her skin was healing, and she was becoming more mobile. Remarkably, Ava managed to stand on her hind legs, even using her left one to walk a bit.

Thirteen days later, her foster caretaker noted that it was time to visit the vet again for an X-ray to assess the condition of Ava’s bones. Regular checks, including examining her excrement and monitoring her temperature, were part of her care routine.
A little over a month into her treatment, Ava was making impressive strides in her recovery. Her coat had grown back, turning smooth and silky, and she was developing normally.
Full of energy and very sociable, Ava had become quite attached to her rescuers. Her transformation has been truly remarkable. To see her journey firsthand, watch the video below.
