The custody battle between Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie is becoming one of the most expensive and prolonged in the entertainment industry.
With the exes unable to agree on a custody arrangement, both sides gather witnesses and prepare for an intense legal showdown.

Brad, 56, advocates for equal custody of their five youngest children, calling 21 witnesses to support his case. Angelina, 45, known for her fierce protective instincts, is resisting Brad’s demands, with her camp focused on shielding the kids from the conflict.
An insider close to both parties told The Sun, “The kids have been shielded to a large extent, but they’re old enough to understand what’s happening.

It breaks Brad’s heart that they’ve been at the center of this struggle for so long. Angelina is determined to protect them at all costs, even against their father.”
Brad and Angelina met in 2004 while filming “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” and married in 2014. They separated in 2016 when Angelina filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Since then, the battle over custody has intensified, with both parties investing heavily in legal teams.
The latest stage of the custody proceedings, which began this week, is behind closed doors in Los Angeles, with Brad and Angelina appearing via Zoom.

Brad’s 21 witnesses include co-stars, psychologists, trauma experts, and others who can testify to his parenting skills and the children’s needs. Angelina’s witness list is shorter, with seven names, including herself and Brad.
A source close to the situation explained the stakes: “Brad wants a clear 50-50 custody split with fixed visitation dates and overnight stays.
Angelina, who spends most of her time with the kids, is not budging on her position. It’s unlikely that an official ruling will come before Christmas, and the whole process casts a dark cloud over the family.”

The couple’s eldest son, Maddox, 19, can decide when to see his father, but the custody arrangements for the younger children remain unresolved.
Meanwhile, Brad’s personal life has come under scrutiny, with reports of his relationship with German model Nicole Poturalski, 27, creating tension with Angelina.
The custody battle has also affected the children’s relationship with Brad’s parents, who live in Missouri. After Angelina was granted temporary full custody in 2016, Brad was allowed only supervised visits, making it challenging for the kids to see their grandparents.

Despite the bitter conflict, both sides are working to protect their interests and the well-being of their children. Many are watching as the legal drama unfolds to see how this high-profile custody battle will resolve.
