When we first learned about him, the tale seemed almost too heartbreaking to believe.
Kong Kong had lost his front paws, likely due to a hunting trap. Despite this unimaginable hardship, he managed to survive in the wild.
His fresh, unhealed wounds were a stark reminder of his recent struggles. Yet, Kong Kong remained calm and approachable, waiting each day in the same spot for kind villagers to feed him.
Among them was a compassionate grandma who became his silent guardian, providing him with daily meals that sustained him through these tough times.
When the grandma learned of our arrival, she shared his story with us. Kong Kong, she revealed, was an elderly cat of 17 years.
His injuries likely occurred in the back mountain, where traps intended for wild boars had not only severed his front paws but also caused minor injuries to his hind legs.
Despite this, Kong Kong showed no fear when approached. Upon meeting him, he sat up and meowed, as if pleading for help.
We offered Kong Kong some food, which he eagerly devoured despite having no teeth. The grandma mentioned that she often fed him egg yolk for nourishment.

With the grandma’s blessing, we decided to bring Kong Kong to the hospital for treatment.

With his wounds cleaned and dressed, Kong Kong was brought to his new home, where he basked in the sun and enjoyed soft food, showing a renewed zest for life.
