Luna’s Fight to Walk Again: How You Can Help

Last Update:

Luna’s life changed in an instant. The young cat was found after a devastating accident that left her paralyzed from the waist down, her hind legs cold and motionless.

A kind-hearted man saw her struggling and refused to look away. He rushed her to Home of Rescued Animals, where her journey to recovery began.

Her condition was heartbreaking. Along with paralysis, Luna had an open spinal wound and could no longer control her bladder.

The shelter staff faced an agonizing decision—euthanasia seemed like the only option. But as they looked into her eyes, full of pain yet still fighting, they made a different choice. They decided to give her a chance.

Luna was fitted with a stabilizing brace and started on pain medication and antibiotics. Her path to recovery is long and expensive, requiring physiotherapy and electrotherapy to rebuild strength in her muscles and prevent further damage. But despite the odds, Luna refuses to give up.

There are already signs of hope. She has started sitting up on her own, moving her tail, and—perhaps most importantly—she can now use the bathroom without assistance. These small victories show her incredible determination to heal.

To ensure Luna gets the treatment she needs, Greater Good Charities’ Emergency Animal Medical Fund has stepped in to help cover the cost of her medical care.

This fund is dedicated to saving the lives of injured pets like Luna, giving them a second chance at a happy life.

Luna’s caregivers believe she will make a full recovery, but she needs support. Donations towards her treatment can help her regain the ability to walk and find a loving forever home.
