A small puppy was found living in unusual conditions, inside a bird cage in a yard in Mladenovac, Serbia. This young dog, only about a month old, was confined with just a bowl of dirty water, exposed to the elements.
Upon seeing her rescuers, the puppy immediately expressed relief, crying and wagging her tail enthusiastically. Milan, from the Dog Rescue Shelter, attempted to contact the owners by knocking on their door, but there was no answer.
He was appalled by the sight of the puppy in such unsuitable conditions, left vulnerable and without shelter.

Unable to ignore her plight, Milan carefully removed the puppy from the cage and took her to the shelter for care and recovery.
Once she had regained her health, the puppy, named “Mini,” found a loving home with a family of three sisters who now treat her with the affection she deserves.
While the exact circumstances behind Mini’s situation remain unclear, it was reported by concerned neighbors who alerted the shelter.

There is no information on whether animal control had been notified before Mini’s rescue or whether the homeowners knew about the puppy’s removal beforehand.
Dog Rescue Shelter, established in 2007, is one of Serbia’s few nonprofit shelters committed to the no-kill movement, providing a safe haven for animals in need.
