It is always difficult to witness an animal in distress, and a recent story of a small dog named Missy has touched people around the globe. Missy was discovered in a dire situation, lying in a pile of trash and close to dying from starvation.
Thankfully, Lou Sisk intervened just in time. Upon finding Missy, Lou immediately took her to a veterinarian. The news from the vet was dire: if Missy had been left much longer, she would have likely succumbed to her conditions.
She was suffering from numerous health issues, such as scabies and a severe infection.
One of Missy’s most critical health challenges was an infected uterus, which required surgical intervention. Despite the tough battle ahead, Missy was now receiving the care she needed to recover.
Following her surgery, Missy required several months to heal fully, but she was fortunate to be in capable hands during this time.
Slowly but surely, she began regaining her strength and putting on weight. Before long, she was healthy enough to be adopted.
Luckily, Missy didn’t have to wait too long to find a loving forever home, where she could live happily and healthily.
