A wildlife enthusiast named Toogee Sielsch had been tracking a young bear cub named Tamarack, who had a difficult start to life. Tamarack was rescued after a wildfire in North Carolina burned his paws, requiring medical care.

However, the cub escaped the wildlife rehab center where he was being treated, tunneling under the electric fence to return to the wilderness.

Despite the setback, Sielsch, who had set up trail cameras throughout the forest, kept an eye on Tamarack.
