Cats come in all shapes and sizes, from fluffy Persians to hairless Sphynxes—but have you ever heard of a werewolf cat?

Recently, a kitten named Gracie became a viral sensation after her owners shared an intriguing video online. The kitten, initially thought to be sick due to bald patches and unusual fur patterns, turned out to be perfectly healthy.
Gracie was actually born with a rare genetic mutation that classifies her as a Lykoi, or “Wolfcat,” known for their wolf-like appearance.

Gracie’s owners, who foster cats, shared her heartwarming story on their account “Graciewolfcat.”
After deciding to foster two pregnant cats rescued from a colony, they were delighted to see both mothers team up to raise their combined 12 kittens together, treating every kitten as their own.
However, one kitten caught their attention: little Gracie appeared delicate and was losing fur. Worried, her foster parents took her to the vet, expecting bad news.

Instead, the veterinarian explained that Gracie’s unique look was due to a harmless genetic mutation. While she initially might have had a temporary fever coat, Gracie was otherwise perfectly healthy and belonged to the unusual Wolfcat breed.
Gracie’s video quickly captured the internet’s heart, gaining over 6 million views and more than 1 million likes.

Her story highlights the fascinating diversity among cats, reassuring pet owners everywhere that sometimes, what makes their pets different can also make them incredibly special.
