Sometimes, you only need a little solitude, even if you’re a baby lion in the heart of the African savannah.
A photographer captured a priceless moment when its mischievous sibling suddenly disrupted a lion cub’s peaceful reverie.
The baby lion relished its quiet time when its brother crept up from behind and attempted to put a paw around it.
However, the little cub wasn’t in the mood for play and quickly sidestepped to avoid its sibling’s advances.
Amateur photographer Serhat Demiroglu photographed the heartwarming interaction in the early morning at Kenya’s Masai Mara.
Hailing from Bodrum, Turkey, Dr. Demiroglu shared that he believes the lion cub desired some alone time. He followed the cubs for three days, observing their playful camaraderie.
Demiroglu further commented on the cubs’ human-like emotions and sense of humor, as evidenced by how one cub put its “arm” around the other and how the other cub evaded the embrace. Demiroglu says these baby lions are the most adorable animals he’s ever witnessed.
