A compassionate young boy discovered Luna in distress. He waited until the individual who had poisoned the food left before contacting the Prishtina Dog Shelter for help.
The shelter’s team rushed to the scene, finding Luna struggling to breathe but still determined to save her pups. A vet from the shelter administered an emergency shot that proved crucial in saving her life.

Luna was then taken to the Prishtina Dog Shelter, where she was joyously reunited with her puppies. Although extremely weak and in need of rest, Luna’s condition began to improve.
The following day, she was ready to receive her first set of vaccinations that are vital for her and her puppies’ health. Despite being slightly anxious, Luna handled it remarkably well.
The morning after, the vet conducted a thorough check-up and gave Luna a clean bill of health. Luna’s spirits lifted when she saw her puppies, who were still too young for adoption.

Displaying her gentle nature, it was clear Luna had not been a stray but rather a dog accustomed to human care.
She even extended her nurturing instincts to Nikita and another orphan puppy, rescued just a day before her, allowing them to nurse despite not being her own.
In a touching twist of fate, Luna and her litter found a permanent home just 10 days after arriving at the shelter. Luna now has the chance to thrive within a loving family in Los Angeles, where she rightfully belongs.
