Right from the start, the twins have displayed lively personalities. They are comfortable with their caretakers, often engaging in playful interactions and mischief, all while staying close to their protective mother.
The strong connection between the staff and the elephants is apparent, with the animals frequently seeking cuddles and attention from their human caregivers. This deep affection is mutual, making the orphanage a unique place.
Once the twins are mature enough to fend for themselves, they will be released back into the wild. Until then, they will flourish in the nurturing environment of the orphanage, playing and bonding with their mother and the staff. Their presence is sure to keep inspiring visitors to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.
