When Zipper, an 8-year-old canine, was brought to a shelter after being discovered as a stray, staff immediately noticed something unique about her.
Despite facing abuse and neglect, Zipper exudes a friendly personality, accompanied by a one-of-a-kind grin resulting from a deformed jaw.
Huntsville Animal Services personnel shared that Zipper’s smile doesn’t hinder her daily life. She usually eats, relishes treats, and seems oblivious to her uniqueness.

Erin Webb, a volunteer with Huntsville Animal Services, highlighted Zipper’s underbite and widely spaced teeth, speculating on the cause of her jaw malformation.

Zipper’s journey hints at a complicated past, likely spent as an outdoor dog without proper care. Severe fur loss due to flea allergies and signs of multiple litters suggest neglect and abandonment.
However, her newfound shelter family recognizes her worth and eagerly anticipates finding her a forever home.
Despite her hardships, Zipper’s gentle demeanor and ability to bond with other dogs and potentially children make her an ideal companion for various households.

Now, she seeks a loving family willing to embrace her resilience and provide her with the peaceful retirement she deserves.
