A recent Instagram post by choreographer Lil Kelaan Carter has revealed that Shiloh, the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, no longer uses her father’s last name.
In early May, Los Angeles-based choreographer Lil Kelaan Carter shared a video of Shiloh practicing dance on Instagram.

In the video, Shiloh, dressed in an oversized top, pants, and sneakers, danced solo in a studio to the tune of “Tanzania” by Uncle Waffles and Tony Duardo, featuring Sino Msolo and Boibizza.
“Her movements are crazy. Thank you for your energy,” Carter captioned the post. The video quickly drew attention, with many netizens praising Shiloh’s dancing. Comments included, “She is wonderful,” and “She has great energy. It’s a freestyle dance style.

Good for her for pursuing her passion.” However, some critics felt that Shiloh’s skills were overpraised due to her famous parents and suggested she reconsider a dance career.
Additionally, viewers noted Shiloh’s return to her tomboy style, contrasting with her feminine appearance at the 2021 premiere of her mother’s movie, Eternals.
The most surprising detail in Carter’s post was the tagging of Shiloh’s Instagram account. Known for maintaining a private lifestyle, Shiloh’s account was discovered to be under the name “Shi Jolie,” omitting the “Jolie-Pitt” surname she previously used.

This change raised eyebrows, especially given reports of a positive relationship between Brad Pitt and his biological children.
According to Life & Style, Shiloh loves both her parents and wishes for them to be friends rather than rivals. InTouch also reported that she plans to move in with her father after turning 18.
On May 27, Shiloh celebrated her 18th birthday, freeing her and her siblings Maddox, Pax Thien, and Zahara from any guardianship agreements related to their parents’ custody battles. Now an adult, Shiloh has taken control of her life, including her name.

It’s worth noting that Maddox and Zahara have also reportedly dropped Pitt’s surname. Whether these changes are official or simply personal choices remains unclear.
