Stray Kitten Rescued After Tumbling from Car, Finds Comfort and Care with New Rescuers

A stray kitten’s life took a sudden turn when it jumped from underneath a car and was spotted just in time. The little gray tabby seemed instantly at peace when held, grateful to be in safe hands after a rough start.

A few days ago, Jenny, a volunteer for Sparkle Cat Rescue, received an urgent call from a coworker who had found the kitten in a grocery store parking lot.

The kitten had fallen from beneath a car backing out of space, and Jenny’s coworker was there to see him before he quickly hid under another car, overheated and panting.

Jenny arrived to find the kitten so worn out that he couldn’t run. She gently picked him up, then took him to a cool, air-conditioned spot where he could get some water. “I got him in front of the AC and got him some water,” Jenny explained.

The little one had a sore paw, a small wound near his ear, and a bloody nose, signs of his difficult escape. Yet, he relaxed on a towel in Jenny’s car, allowing her to comfort him as he tried to rest.

Jenny contacted Sparkle Cat Rescue for the help he needed. He was about eight to nine weeks old and running a high fever.

“He was rescued this past Wednesday after falling from a car. I doubt he would have survived otherwise,” said Stephanie Grantham, founder of Sparkle Cat Rescue.

Stephanie and her team brought him into care, naming him Archer. After a nourishing meal and medical treatment, Archer finally drifted off to sleep in his foster carer’s arms, immediately bonding with his new caregivers. From the start, he was affectionate and trusting, snuggling as if making up for lost time.

In just a day, Archer went from fending for himself in a busy parking lot to dozing peacefully in loving arms.

Madison, the daughter of Jenny’s coworker, chose the name Archer. Although he still had a limp, his energy was returning.

Surrounded by caring people, Archer thrived, ready to cuddle and enjoy their company. They even gave him a stuffed bunny to keep him company as he healed, which he instantly embraced.

“Archer is getting stronger every day and seems so grateful his life was saved,” shared Stephanie. Archer, now safe and happy, can’t stop purring. He loves belly rubs, rolling onto his back, and stretching his paws joyfully.
